According to the Mayo Clinic in their article “Traumatic brain injury,” a traumatic brain injury is an injury that results from some kind of impact or jolt to the head or body.
“Traumatic brain injury can have wide-ranging physical and psychological effects. Some signs or symptoms may appear immediately after the traumatic event, while others may appear days or weeks later,” the Mayo Clinic said.
