ERIE COUNTY, NY – Authorities responded to a rollover crash Sunday afternoon on U.S. Route 219 in northwest Orchard Park, according to WGRZ.
The accident occurred in a grassy median between the ramps at Milestrip Road and was first reported shortly after 2:30 p.m.
Officials say emergency responders arrived on the scene to find a car on its side. The vehicle’s two occupants were reportedly seen trying to hide in a wood line nearby.
A 30-year-old woman from Buffalo was taken into custody for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, in addition to having tinted windows, a tire in dangerous conditions, a failure to keep right, for leaving the scene of a crash that caused property damage, and for operating a motor vehicle that was not inspected.
Her passenger received a ticket for not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the wreck.
While both occupants were assessed and treated at the scene, they declined hospital transport.
