ERIE COUNTY, NY – A vehicle wreck early Thursday evening caused a traffic backup on Interstate 90 near Cheektowaga, according to WGRZ TrafficTracker2.
The accident occurred on the eastbound lanes that run between William Street and Walden Avenue. It was first reported shortly before 5:30 p.m.
Local officials have not issued a statement regarding the cause or nature of the incident, but the scene caused standstill traffic about two miles long.
