ERIE COUNTY, NY – Emergency responders were dispatched to a multi-vehicle collision Tuesday morning on Interstate 90 near northwest Cheektowaga, according to WGRZ TrafficTracker2.
The crash impacted the eastbound lanes that run between Walden Avenue and State Highway 33. It was first reported just before 9:07 a.m.
Very few details have been released at this time, but three vehicles were involved.
At the time of the initial report, a traffic backup about 4.5 miles long had stretched down to just before I-190. Motorists were advised to avoid the area and find alternate routes.

Local officials did not immediately confirm whether anyone was seriously hurt.
