ERIE COUNTY, NY – Emergency crews were dispatched to a collision early Wednesday on Interstate 190 in southeast Buffalo, according to WBEN TrafficCommand.

The wreck occurred on the northbound lanes at Hamburg Street, near the city’s South Ellicott area. It was first reported shortly before 4:12 a.m.

Little information has been made available at this time, but officials indicated that right lane was blocked in the immediate aftermath.

Footage captured at the scene shows that traffic had backed up in the area but was moving.

No injuries were confirmed at the time of the initial report.
