ERIE COUNTY, NY – Five people suffered injuries as a result of a multi-vehicle collision last Friday morning, September 13, in Williamsville, reports WGRZ.
Amherst Police responded to the scene at 6035 Main Street (State Highway 5), near Oakland Road.
The circumstances behind the accident have not been specified, but officers learned that three vehicles and a motorcycle were involved. The impact of the wreck caused the rider to eject from the motorcycle, and for one of the other vehicles to overturn.
First responders rushed five patients to area hospitals. While the severity of their conditions has not been disclosed, officials indicated that none of the injuries are believed to be life-threatening.
A span of Main Street was closed during the emergency response and initial investigation but was later reopened to the public.
No information regarding potential charges or citations has been released.
