2 Workers Injured in Crash at Royalton Construction Site

NIAGARA COUNTY, NY – Two people were injured, one critically, Thursday afternoon when a vehicle crashed into a construction site in the Town of Royalton, according to WNY News Now.

The accident happened on a stretch of State Road on September 12, at around 2:28 p.m.

Authorities said a 59-year-old man from Middleport was driving a 2013 Chrysler sedan when they crashed the vehicle into a construction site, leaving two workers injured.

One worker, a Newfane resident who was sitting in a construction vehicle at the site, suffered critical injuries. First responders had him rushed to an area hospital via Mercy Flight. The other worker, a 23-year-old Little Genesee resident who was inside a pump trailer at the time of the wreck, was also injured.

An investigation by the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office remains in progress.
