Motorcyclist left seriously hurt following crash on Route 33 ramp near Hamlin Park Historic District

BUFFALO, NY – A 26-year-old man from Williamsville was hospitalized with serious injuries Tuesday night, August 20, following a motorcycle wreck on a Route 33 offramp in Buffalo, reports WIVB 4.

The incident occurred on the inbound lanes of Route 33 at the ramp to Route 198, near the city’s Hamlin Park Historic District. Buffalo Police responded to the scene at about 9:00 p.m.

According to a preliminary investigation, the man was operating a motorcycle when he lost control of the bike moments after exiting from Route 33 to Route 198. The bike struck a cement median, leaving the rider seriously injured.

First responders rushed the victim to Erie County Medical Center.

It’s unclear at this time what led up to the crash, or whether another vehicle was involved.

Authorities continue to investigate.
