Injuries reported following crashes in Buffalo’s downtown, First Ward areas

BUFFALO, NY – At least two people were injured as a result of two separate collisions that occurred Monday morning, August 5–one in downtown Buffalo and the other in the city’s First Ward neighborhood, according to WGRZ TrafficTracker2.

One incident was reported on Ganson Street near Ohio Street, and the other at Broadway and Elm Street. They were first reported on WGRZ’s X (formerly known as Twitter) account at about 7:34 a.m.

Very few details have been made available at this time, but officials indicated that both crash resulted in injuries to at least one person. The exact number of those hurt and the severity of their conditions have not been specified.


Local agencies have also not reported any pending charges or citations following the events.
