ERIE COUNTY, NY – Authorities were called to a crash late Monday afternoon, July 15, on Interstate 90 near Cheektowaga, according to WBEN TrafficCommand.
The accident impacted the eastbound lanes approaching Exit 53 to the I-190 interchange. It was first reported by WBEN at 4:43 p.m.
Although little information has been made available, a driver in a pickup truck appeared to have crashed off the interstate and into the center barrier, leaving the left lane blocked.
Footage recorded by traffic cameras show traffic moving slowly in both directions of the interstate.
Local agencies have not yet disclosed the conditions of those involved.
