ERIE COUNTY, NY – A 57-year-old Arcade resident lost his life last Thursday, July 4th, after his motorcycle collided with another vehicle in the Town of Sardinia, according to WIVB 4.
First responders were dispatched to the scene on Olean Road (State Route 16) near East Schutt Road (State Route 39) at around 10:20 a.m.
While officials have not described the cause or nature of the accident, patrol officers arrived to find the motorcyclist suffering from severe injuries.
The rider was rushed to Erie County Medical Center, and two days later, on the evening of Saturday, July 6, he was pronounced deceased.
Authorities continue to investigate. It’s unclear at this time which party was at fault in the collision, and whether the other driver is expected to be charged or cited.
