ERIE COUNTY, NY – Authorities were dispatched to a vehicle accident Monday afternoon on State Route 5 in northwest Hamburg, according to WBEN TrafficCommand.

The accident, which blocked a stretch of NY-5 between Amsdell Road and Cloverbank Road near Wanakah Beach, was first reported at about 1:27 p.m.

As of this writing, local agencies have not specified the cause or nature of the wreck, and it’s unclear how many vehicles were impacted.

No injuries or hospitalizations were immediately confirmed.
