2 sent to hospital after patrol vehicle, pickup truck collide in NE Buffalo

BUFFALO, NY – Two people were injured due to a crash between a Buffalo Police patrol vehicle and a pickup truck early Sunday in Buffalo’s East Side, reports WGRZ.

The accident unfolded at the intersection of Bailey Avenue and Erskine Avenue, a few blocks south of Highway 33. It was first reported at about 3:45 a.m.

Officials have not said what led up to the wreck, but both drivers were rushed to Erie County Medical Center for injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.

At this time, the Buffalo Police Department is investigating whether or not the driver of the pickup was suffering from a medical emergency at the time.

No charges or citations have been reported.
