Woman dies following crash off Dennison Rd in Chautauqua County

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY, NY – A 54-year-old woman from Jamestown lost her life last Friday morning, June 21, in southeast Silver Creek after her vehicle collided with a tree, reports The Post-Journal.

The fatal crash took place off Dennison Road, prompting a response from Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies, Silver Creek Fire Department crews and Chautauqua County EMS personnel at about 6:47 a.m.

A preliminary investigation indicates that the woman was driving when, for reasons unclear, her vehicle ran off the roadway and hit the tree.

The victim was rushed by Mercy Flight to Erie County Medical Center (ECMC) where she was later pronounced deceased.

As of this writing, officials have not indicated a possible cause of the crash, but no information pointing to the involvement of other occupants or vehicles has been shared.
