Multi-vehicle wreck causes delays on NY-33 near Cheektowaga

ERIE COUNTY, NY – Multiple vehicles were involved in a crash late Tuesday afternoon on Highway 33 near Cheektowaga, according to WGRZ TrafficTracker2.

The collision occurred on the outbound lanes approaching Harlem Road (NY-240) and was first reported shortly before 5:05 p.m.

Very few details have been released, but the scene had the right shoulder blocked. At the time of the initial report, eastbound commuters were experiencing delays back to Eggert Road.

It’s unclear at this time what caused the wreck or whether anyone was seriously hurt.
