NIAGARA COUNTY, NY – One person suffered serious injuries Tuesday evening when they collided with a car while operating a motorcycle in Niagara Falls, reports Niagara Gazette.
Niagara Falls police and emergency crews responded to the crash site at Hyde Park Boulevard and Lockport Street at about 6:30 p.m.
According to an early investigation, the motorcyclist was traveling southbound on Hyde Park at the same time an Optima was heading northbound. At one point, the Optima began making a left turn onto Lockport Street, which resulted in the motorcyclist hitting the vehicle’s back end.
Falls firefighters and EMTs provided treatment to the rider at the scene and then had the patient transported by ambulance to Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo for major but non-life-threatening injuries on one leg. No updates on his condition have been released at this time.
The intersection was blocked off in all directions for an investigation.
