Driver dies after two-vehicle crash at Holland intersection

ERIE COUNTY, NY – A 62-year-old man from Concord died following a collision early Sunday in east Holland, according to WGRZ.

The Erie County Sheriff’s Office said the accident occurred in the area of Vermont Hill Road and Vermont Street at about 12:30 a.m.

While the events leading up to the wreck remain unclear, first responders arrived to find a Chevrolet Silverado with front-end damage, as well as a severely damaged Volkswagen Passat, which came to rest in the brush off the roadway’s southeastern edge.

The driver of the Volkswagen ultimately succumbed to his injuries, confirmed officials.

No information regarding the other driver’s condition or the cause of the crash has been made available. An investigation remains underway.
