NIAGARA COUNTY, NY – At least two people, including a police office, received medical attention Wednesday morning following a three-car collision in east Niagara Falls, reports Niagara Gazette.
The accident unfolded on a stretch of Niagara Falls Boulevard at 80th Street, at about 10:30 a.m.
An early investigation found that a Niagara Falls Police patrol vehicle, as well as a Nissan and a Jeep Compass, were involved in a crash, though officials have not released a sequence of events.
First responders transported the officer in the patrol car to an area hospital for an evaluation, but no further information about the patient’s condition has been shared.
Officials noted that the driver of the Nissan reported back pain following the incident, but it’s unclear whether the victim received medical attention.
No injuries to the driver of the Jeep Compass were reported.
Part of the roadway was blocked to traffic following the event.
