Motorcyclist hospitalized after colliding with vehicle in downtown Buffalo

BUFFALO, NY – Authorities responded to a motorcycle accident Tuesday morning, May 28, in downtown Buffalo that left a 41-year-old man injured, according to WIVB 4.

Buffalo Police said the collision took place on Niagara Street at West Huron Street, in the city’s Columbus area, shortly after 7:30 a.m.

The circumstances behind the wreck are unclear, but the victim was operating a motorcycle when they collided with an unspecified vehicle. A photo captured at the scene indicates that motorcycle came to a stop at the intersection with Georgia Street following the impact.

First responders transported the male rider to Erie County Medical Center (ECMC) for injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.

Officials have not released any details regarding which party was at fault, but an investigation was underway.
