CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY, NY – A 42-year-old man from Dunkirk lost his life last Tuesday after, March 25, after a crash involving a big rig on State Route 60 in Fredonia, according to The Post-Journal.

The fatal accident occurred on the northbound highway near Walmart Supercenter, prompting a response from state troopers shortly after 2:00 p.m.

An early investigation found that the victim was operating a 2006 Pontiac northbound when he failed to stop in time, causing the car to strike the back of a 2016 Peterbilt tractor-trailer, which was stopped in traffic at a red light.
