Authorities respond to wreck on outbound NY 33 near Cheektowaga

ERIE COUNTY, NY – A vehicle accident late Tuesday afternoon partially blocked outbound State Route 33 near Cheektowaga, according to WBEN TrafficCommand.

The crash unfolded past Harlem Road (NY-240) and was first reported some time before 4:28 p.m.

It’s unclear what led up to the wreck, but footage captured at the scene suggests multiple vehicles were involved. At least two police vehicles were seen responding.

At the time of the WBEN report, the right outbound lanes were blocked. Traffic was getting by via the two left lanes.

Local agencies have not confirmed any injuries following the incident, and no charges have been reported.
