BUFFALO, NY – Authorities were dispatched to a collision Monday evening that caused long delays on State Route 33 in northeast Buffalo, according to WGRZ TrafficTracker2.
The accident happened on the inbound lanes approaching Bailey Avenue, in the city’s Kensington area. It was first reported some time before 7:09 a.m., prompting a closure of the right inbound lane.
At the time of the initial report, traffic was backed up about half a mile down to Suffolk Street, but by 7:36 a.m., nearly 30 minutes later, the backup had stretched over two miles long, back to Harlem Road.
It remains unclear at this time what led up to the wreck and how many vehicles were impacted.
