1 injured in crash at NE Buffalo intersection involving alleged stolen vehicle

BUFFALO, NY – One person was sent to a hospital Thursday night when a car believed to have been stolen collided with another vehicle in northeast Buffalo, according to WIVB 4.

The accident unfolded at the intersection of Jefferson Avenue and High Street, in the city’s Fruit Belt area.

Preliminary details and a footage captured by a witness shows about nine Buffalo police patrol vehicles and the alleged stolen vehicle, a Kia, were engaged in a high-speed pursuit. At one point, the Kia collided with an uninvolved car at the intersection.

First responders transported one person to Erie County Medical Center with injuries deemed minor. Officials did not immediately clarify whether the patient was the driving the reportedly stolen vehicle, or an occupant of the other vehicle.
