ERIE COUNTY, NY — Three vehicles were involved in a collision Wednesday morning that led to delays on Interstate 290 near Amherst, according to WGRZ TrafficTracker2.
The accident unfolded on the eastbound lanes at Exit 7B to Main Street (NY-5), in an area northeast of Buffalo. It was first recorded by WGRZ just after 8:00 a.m.
No travel lanes appear to have been blocked in the immediate aftermath, as the wreck was reported on the right shoulder. At the time of the initial report, however, traffic had already come to a standstill back to Sheridan Drive and Harlem Road.
From TrafficTracker 2’s Dave Cash: There’s a 3 vehicle accident on the right shoulder of the 290 East at Main Street – traffic is at a crawl from Sheridan/Harlem. An accident blocks the left lane on the 90 East at William – traffic is backed up to before the 190. @WGRZ pic.twitter.com/j56z9UtIrU
