Injuries reported following hit-and-run crash involving school bus in Buffalo

BUFFALO, NY — At least one person was hurt Wednesday morning in a hit-and-run incident involving a school bus at a Buffalo intersection, according to WGRZ.

The crash was reported at the corner of Eggert Road and Langfield Drive, in the city’s Kenfield neighborhood. Dispatchers were first alerted some time before 7:30 a.m.

Preliminary information indicates a school bus was transporting one student when it was involved in a collision. At least one of the involved parties fled the scene before first responders arrived.

Injuries were reported following the event, but officials have not confirmed the number and conditions of those hurt. It was not immediately apparent whether the student was among the injured.

Motorists were instructed to find alternate routes around the area during the emergency response.
