NIAGARA COUNTY, NY — Authorities were called to an injury accident Monday morning on Interstate 190 near east Niagara Falls, according to WGRZ TrafficTracker2.
The crash occurred on the southbound lanes of the highway just before the northern side of North Grand Island Bridge. It was first reported some time before 6:11 a.m.
Details are limited, but one vehicle appeared to have been involved, and at least one person suffered unspecified injuries.
At the time of WGRZ’s report, the right southbound lane was blocked to accommodate the emergency response, and a traffic backup had begun to form north of the bridge.
